DRYLINE II Water Trap ETCO2
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Main Stream: Main stream CO2 is the direct placement of a gas sensor within the breathing circuit catheter, so the CO2 content can be measured directly from the patient breathing circuit.
Side Stream: Side stream CO2 is the gas sensor placed inside the monitor and sent to the detection air chamber via a sampling tube + water trap using a pump with flow regulation. Mainstream real-time recording of patient CO2 waveform concentration, slight distortion of bypass waveform, waveform delay 2-3S. There is no difference in accuracy between the two.
MicroStream is a type of side stream, and the sampling flow is as low as 50 ml/min, which can be used for neonatal measurement.
Advantages(Main stream CO2 Monitoring)
1. Sensor on airway with short lag time
2. No strict requirement for tidal volume
Advantages(Side stream CO2 Monitoring)
1. No sensors interfere with patient airway.
2. Disposable sampling tube.
3. Available for intubated, non-intubated patients.
